Organized in a useful, easy to read manner AND it gave the information I needed to prepare myself in court. The most useful parts of the book for me where the specific cases at the very beginning of the book. They painted a picture and gave me ideas about HOW to prove my case in court. That said, you also need a good lawyer who knows the LAWS and what judges in your area will consider when making a decision about awarding custody.You need to know the LAWS in your area and how the system works, but this book will assist you in helping your lawyer prepare and what information/tools may or may not be useful. Remember, the judge needs to back up his or her decision with evidence.
It helped me stay several steps ahead of my manipulative spouse and I won the battle for my children! It has stories and expectations and tons of info, out of 10 books I purchased I only recommend this one along with "Hit him where it hurt$"!
This book is pretty good. My situation is different in that I'm not getting a divorce, only going through a custody case. However, it does have a lot of helpful and useful information regarding those issues.If you are getting a divorce and are a women, I would highly recommend this book be read.
I read this entire book from front to back in 1 day. IT WAS GREAT. Full of useful information and makes you feel that you can do this wether your the initiator or not

There were things in there I knew, but other things I did not know.. Good read, need to be very informed if you are going through a divorce and dealing with a battle for the kids.
bought this after the divorce was finalized because we will be going back over custody and even for that this book was very helpful but wished I'd bought it before!
