I truly enjoyed the adventures in this story! There were times I got a bit confused by the way the author chose to change characters but eventually caught on
The characters were well described, and the plot was well woven. Any reader that is interested in the realities of WWII will find this novel very compelling
So much emotion! Makes you feel like you are there with these folks. Very evident is that during the war you had to keep in keeping on. I will recommend this book.
This was one of the better books I have read about WW2. It was so personal and made me feel like I was right there with hm them. Kudos to the author .
I had a neighbor when I was young who grew up in England. She married an American soldier after WWII & moved to the the US. It might be her or watching The Midwives, or both but I now love books about British women during WWII. I feel like I know Sam & Sally both as well as I know most anyone. They are two of the kindest women I’ve ever “metâ€! The author had her way of changing stories back and forth right in the middle of something, and I had to read on! I enjoyed her unique style of writing, once I figured out what was going on! Thank you
I liked the time frame the story was set in but hated the way it skipped from one character to another in many areas from one sentence to the next.
Really enjoyed this book. Great story and characters. Interesting wartime novel with lots of twists and turns and romantic intrigue.
I really enjoyed this book. Even though it was war time it was a great read. I loved the characters and the ending was great!
